LifeLine
This program provides an $8.25 monthly discount to qualifying low-income subscribers in Tennessee and a $13.50 monthly discount to qualifying low-income subscribers in Kentucky. The new rate waives the customer's federal subscriber line charge and reduces the local service charge.
Link-Up
This program provides a discount of up to 50 percent off the cost of basic telephone service installation (up to a maximum of $30) to qualifying low-income subscribers.
To Qualify for the Programs:
You must receive benefits from at least one of the following agencies and provide proof of receipt to North Central Telephone Cooperative:
- Medicaid
- Food Stamps
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance / Section 8
- Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
- Temporary Assistance to Needy Families Program (TANF)
- National School Lunch Free Lunch Program (NSL)
Tennessee subscribers may be eligible if their total household income is at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
