Save Rural Broadband

We share the following videos and information about the importance of Broadband in rural America. To make sure your voice is heard and the FCC and Congress know how important Broadband is to you, go to www.saveruralbroadband.org

Rural Missouri is not that different than North Central Tennessee. Here, local residents are quoted as saying:  ”Everything we do starts with Broadband.”

In a farming community in rural Minnesota, Broadband is the key to providing quality healthcare, education and jobs. We see many similarities with our counties here in rural Tennessee.

Check out the Sweet Palace in Montana that sells candy worldwide via Broadband. This small rural community is working to “reinvent itself” after mining and logging left the area with little economic potential. But Broadband is their answer. They say: “don’t cut us off at the knees.”

Think wireless broadband is America’s future? Not in places like Amador County, California, where the drastic elevation changes mean even the few cellular companies that operate in the area rely on the local network.

Farmers in rural Texas depend on the Broadband for their business, and without it, they say you wouldn’t have peanut butter, bread or even the clothes you wear. “We must stay efficient. We must stay connected.” Hear what they have to say.

Former United States Senator Byron Dorgan explains why this issue is so important to all of America.
